A BIOGRAPHY OF PROF. DR. QUAZI DEEN MOHAMMAD
Prof. Dr. Quazi Deen Mohammad was born in 1955. He is a neurologist, professor, and physician from Bangladesh. He is the founding director of National Institute of Neuroscience in Dhaka. He served as the 19th President of the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) and the 37th principal of Dhaka Medical College.

Early Life and Education:
Quazi Deen Mohammad was born in Luxmipur, Faridpur of Bangladesh, the then East Pakistan. He earned his HSC from Government Rajendra College and his SSC from Faridpur Zilla School. In 1978, he graduated from Dhaka Medical College with an MBBS. In 1983, he completed fellowship in Medicine from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons. In 1989, he completed a residency in clinical neurophysiology at University Hospital Madison in the United States. In 1994, he graduated from the University of Dhaka with an M.D. in neurology.
Career
In 1984, Quazi Deen Mohammad began working at the former IPGMR, currently known as Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, as an assistant professor of neurology. In 1996, he started working at Dhaka Medical College as a professor of neurology. Later, from 2004 to 2012, he served as the principal of Dhaka Medical College. He thereafter was appointed as the National Institute of Neuroscience’s first director. He provides treatment to his patients at S.P.R.C & Neurology Hospital on a regular basis.
