A BIOGRAPHY OF ADMIRAL AURANGZEB CHOWDHURY
Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury, (G), NBP, BCGM, OSP, PCGM, BCGMS, psc, ndc, BN, is a former four star and most reputed Admiral of Bangladesh. He is the ex-Director General of Bangladesh Coast and ex-Chief of Naval Staff. He came into retirement in the year 2020. He is the 15th chief of Naval staff.

Early Life
His full name is Abu Mozaffar Mohiuddin Mohammed Aurangzeb Chowdhury. He was born on 28 September 1959. He received his enrolled into the Bangladesh Navy in 1980.
Career
He has had a lot of experience in the Bangladesh Navy, serving as the commanding officer of various ships and vessels. He was also in recharge of overseeing the Bangladesh Marine Academy within the duration of November 2008 to March 2009. Then he went for serving as Commodore Superintendent Dockyard from October 2009 to December 2010.
He also served in the Navy at various high-ranking positions. He performed as the Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) and also Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Personnel). He served as the Commodore Commanding Chittagong, Naval Secretary & Director at NHQ, Zonal Commander of Coast Guard East Zone. He showed his talent by becoming the principal of the Bangladesh Marine Fisheries Academy in Chittagong.
He became the Director General of the Bangladesh Coast Guard on February 15, 2016. He started working as Chief of Naval Staff on January 26, 2019, and retired on July 25, 2020.
Personal Life
Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury married gynecologist Afroza Aurangzeb. Together they have a son and a daughter.
